Founders Norm and Sandi Kneller have lived in Kelowna for over 21 years and are also the founders and previous co-owners of Aqua Pro Pools & Spas until the business was sold in 2004.  Norm has incredible work ethic and a desire to make every customer satisfied, no matter how big or small the job.  He has experience in numerous types of construction and has a common sense approach to his projects.  Working with Norm is Jared Billeck who brings to the company fine carpentry skills and an enthusiastic attitude in everything he does.  Use Rafter 4K Contracting for your next project & rest assured that the job will be accomplished on time and the workmanship will be of the utmost quality.

History of Excellence

In our previous business, Aqua Pro Pools, we were proud winners of the 2003 Business Excellence Awards presented by the Business Development Bank of Canada and the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.  We are previous winners for the National Spa & Pool Institute’s prestigious Retailer of the Year award for Excellence in Customer Relations, Promoting Integrity within the industry and abiding by the N.S.P.I strict Code of Ethics.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We are an eco-friendly company, using products and construction techniques to ensure you project is energy efficient, conservative to resources and strive to cause minimal impact on the surrounding environment.  Whenever possible we use or recommend local and/or recycled products.  We are also dedicated to a clean work space, making sure job sites are left cleaner than when we started, and recycling and/or reusing materials whenever feasible, keeping as much waste out of the landfill as possible.

What’s in the Name?

The Rafter 4K name comes with some significant meaning for our family owned business.  We are a family of four; Norm, Sandi, Kennedy & Kolby and we live on an acreage in the Ellison area of Kelowna.  At the time that we sold the assets to Aqua Pro Pools & Spas Ltd. we had to choose a name that suited the new focus of our business changing from a swimming pool and hot tub retail/service/construction company, to more of the project management and construction oriented focus.  After much thought and discussion we determined that using our current farm brand made the most sense as it was designed to portray the lifestyle we wanted to live; hard working, active, outdoors, with animals, surrounded by nature, while supporting our family.  Everything fit together with the Rafter 4K… which essentially stands for keeping a roof over the family.

The Team

Norm Kneller has been involved in various areas of the construction industry for over 30 years.  Although taking on more of the project management end of things in recent years he still continues to be hands on with all projects to produce the quality results he demands.  Norm has experience with general carpentry, concrete work, swimming pool construction and service, plumbing, electrical and equipment operation.  Norm has been married to Sandi for over 21 years with two wonderful children who are both very active in hockey and track, and a farm full of pets.  When he gets spare time he enjoys downhill and water skiing, tennis, horseback riding, swimming and lounging around the pool with friends and family.

Jared Billeck is a great asset to our company.  He was born into the family construction business in Lethbridge, Alberta which paved the way for his carpentry career.  His respectful and enthusiastic personality is a great fit when working closely with clients.  His unique perspective and determination for perfection is something both Rafter 4K and our clients benefit greatly from.  Jared’s experience includes; footings, foundations, custom framing, plumbing, electrical and finish landscaping, in addition to his other accomplishments such as completing 3 custom built homes. Jared spends his spare time with his partner and lives with her in their custom home in the Mission area, as well as participating in a weight training program and many other sport leisure activities.
